Jupiter Conjunct Uranus in Pisces ~ January 4, 2011

And so it happens again, for the third and final time, Jupiter (opportunities/ideals) and Uranus (radical change/unconventionality) perfect their conjunction (blending of energies). This time, both planets are moving direct and are meeting at 27 degrees of Pisces. Their last meeting was on September 18, 2010, while both were retrograde. Prior to that, Jupiter and Uranus shook things up on June 8, 2010 when they first joined forces in the enterprising sign of Aries.

Although, their first/second meetings happened mid-to-late 2010, the complete impact of their collaboration might not actually be fully experienced for several more months, and maybe even years, for some. What was happening in your external or personal world around those time periods? Jupiter and Uranus are offering us another chance at making a go of things or of continuing what we may have begun, and perhaps this time, applying a slower, more intuitive approach.

Reinforcing the energies of this Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is the supercharged New Moon Solar Eclipse that occurs a mere few hours before. Eclipses, in astrology, are accelerators. They speed up events, issues, situations in our personal lives and demand for them to be dealt with. This eclipsed new moon happens in the disciplined sign of the achiever, Capricorn, at 14 degrees. The energy of an eclipse have an influence of up to six months, giving this first half of the year possibilities for miracles -- personal or otherwise; little ones or biggies; subtle or bold.

Also getting in on the action is Venus (relationships/finances) who links up with Neptune (insight/spirituality), Chiron (wounds/healing), Jupiter and Uranus, as she spends her last days in Scorpio. We are being dared to dream (Jupiter-Uranus conjunction) and double dared to actually realize those dreams through hard work and dedication (Capricorn-Solar Eclipse), as well as a little faith (Jupiter-Uranus conjunction with Venus links to Neptune, Jupiter and Uranus).

As written in previous posts:Jupiter represents good luck, joy, expansion, opportunities, higher education, and personal growth through our interests, experience and spirituality. He also governs publishing, travel, foreigners and exposure to other cultures. At best, Jupiter brings a wealth of knowledge, understanding, growth, opportunities, as well as financial gains. At worst, overindulgent, excessive, wasteful and unable to get past "dreaming" of the possibilities.

Uranus is the awakener, the mover and shaker of the zodiac. His goal is change/improvement for the masses at any cost, even at the cost of chaos or a revolution. Uranus represents humanitarianism, unconventionality, unpredictability, indifference, freedom, technological advancements, and loyalty to its cause. Uranus' energy is radical, disruptive, rebellious and innovative.

Pisces is imaginative, creative, receptive and peace-loving. Pisces governs mysticism, spirituality, intuition, dreams, psychic abilities, compassion, sacrificial love, escapism, drug/substance abuse, phobias and mental problems. At best, Pisces is spiritually/psychically attune to the inner-workings within the "unseen" world and able to apply this awareness in the "seen" world. At worst, deluded, diffident and incapable of functioning in the physical realm.

With regards to the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, my only word of caution is -- keep in mind that this Jupiter-Uranus energy is happening in the sign of Pisces. It's one thing to gain insight and grounding through the optimism and overall good feeling their growing conjunction might bring. It's quite another to become attached to this 'good feeling' and give in to avoidance or total escape. Allow Jupiter and Uranus in Pisces to help you find your center again but don't 'check out'. Continue to 'show up' every moment of each day.

Their conjunction in Pisces offers us the chance to delve deep within the part of us that we may not tap into often enough, so we can become aware of our hidden drives/motivations. In our becoming conscious of them, we're provided with a more complete picture. For those who are already spiritually attuned, enjoy this energy where intuitive abilities can be even more enhanced.

Those celebrating a birthday during these first 4 days of the new year could very well have an exciting, amazing year ahead! Those with natal planets/house angles in the last degrees of mutable and fixed signs; and around 14 degrees of cardinal signs may experience these celestial energies stronger, more powerful than others.

Unsure if you have natal planets/house planets in the degrees and signs I mentioned? Cast your own birth chart for use as reference -- birth date, time, and place required.

Hi, great article! I noticed that my progressed Sun who just entered my 12th house at 12 degrees Cap will be conjunct this New Moon Solar Eclipse! My P Moon is in sextile to this at 13 Scorpio (also my P Moon is in conjunction to my natal Venus at 15 Scorpio. I can't find anything when I google Progressed Sun conj the New Moon Solar Eclipse in the beginning of my 12th house. Do you have any ideas? Thanks!

Hi serenna009, Aspects between transits and the progressed chart are more meaningful if there are connections between the progressed and natal charts, which you seem to have happening. Since what you're looking for is so specific and not exactly common, it would make sense that there isn't much searchable information online. I would suggest checking out books that covers progressions and transits. Celeste Teal has a book called “Identifying Planetary Triggers” that might have some information that you're looking for. If I remember correctly, she covers progressions, transits and eclipses in that book. Good luck and happy new year!

hello,

I've been an avid reader of your articles for a couple of years now.

Can I ask what might effect would this conjunction have on me? it will be on my 2nd house, conjunct natal north node and progressed moon, trines neptune and part of fortune (while conjuncted by transiting venus).

it has been a rough year for me (gemini sun - 4th house) - lost my job when Saturn opposite uranus occurred in April while saturn conjunct my natal uranus!

if I could afford it I would ask for a consultation but times are tough right now and I am in jeopardy of losing my house these next couple of months.

I would appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks.

I am very interested in what you are saying about this conjunction, I have it in Cancer ,9th house of my chart, Pisces is my 5th house...I am puzzling over what effects it may have..I have been physically quite unwell (long term thing) but feel like I want to continue some artistic and written projects, am hoping this conjunction plus new moon may give me the focus i want, as i can be butterfly like, Gemini conj Mars in the eighth house, which is gemini of course. i would be interested in a full reading plus a look at things to come. Your column is great and keep shamelessly promoting you! Katy

Hi edc88, I'm sorry to hear about your job. It's been a tough few years for a lot of us; yes, me included. Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in your 2nd house does impact your finances/income. The conjunction itself between them is promising so, your money situation/job prospects look better as the new year begins, especially since you say the conjunction touches your POF.

The only thing I would ask you to watch out for is the that trine to Neptune -- seeing things through rose-colored glasses, not accepting the whole of your reality, too much escaping. Ideally this trine should be an energy that gives hope and encourages getting to know your more spiritual/intuitive side, but it can be misused or misunderstood and escapism or denial happens.

As far as this J/U conjunction also touching your NN, what's ahead for you might be something that really 'fits' for you. Not just your situation in your external world but something that rings true on the inside.

Lastly, with Uranus' involvement, opportunities can come in packages you don't expect or want, for that matter. You may even need to create your own opportunities. Don't wait around for something that is beyond your control (I only say that because you have a mutable Sun). Be open and keep a look out, externally as well as internally. Pisces is an intuitive sign so take the time to seek within.

Good luck, ed. Light, love and prosperity your way.

astrogrrl,

thank you for your reply, I very much appreciate it.

you said that with uranus' involvement the opportunities that might come up are seomthings that I might not expect or want....that's a little tricky though, since if I don't want it, what would motivate me to grab it? I think that this has been happening since the first J/U conjunction since all job offers I've been getting are either temporary (under 6 months), or requires relocation and temporary. I didn't view those offers as acceptable and turned them down.

this is all too confusing for me, could be the neptune square effect.....? absolutely have no idea where to go next, what to do next, and what is to come. I guess that I will have to find out when it does come.

my 2011 SR chart is showing Jupiter in the 8th house with Mars, mercury, and venus conjunct in the 8th house (not conjunct jupiter). from what I can find on the internet, those aspects are either shows good amount of money coming in (with Jupiter in 8th), more sensuality with my wife (hopefully) but also that it may be huge OUTFLOW of money and fights/arguments with my wife! LOL! talk about neptune fogginess!

Hi Katy, Thank you for the post and compliment. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "I have it in Cancer ,9th house of my chart, Pisces is my 5th house." The conjunction is in Pisces so, that would be in your 5th house if Pisces governs your 5th house. Having the conjunction in your 5th house would be ideal for any creative ventures you might have in mind. It certainly fits with your statement -- "I want to continue some artistic and written project." However, Piscean energy is not known for "focus" :) So, you'll have to make conscious effort to keep your focus on the tasks at hand. If your natal chart exhibits strong traits of concentration and determination, then you'll be ok. Otherwise, you may need to create a schedule for yourself that keeps you somewhat on track with your goals.

As far as your physical wellbeing, I am sorry to hear that you have been unwell. Health is represented by the 6th house and recuperation/regeneration by the 8th house. Look to any transits there or natal planets to get an idea of health related issues.
